The new iPad 3 supported video formats and specs
the new iPad 3 release date has been delayed to 2012 due to a shortage of retina displays from its suppliers. Now the iPad3 release time is set at the March 7, and the Wall Street Journal news release an intelligence: the iPad will support 4G LTE, including U.S. operators Verizon and AT&T. So the new iPad 3 will equipped with 9.7 inches touchscreen, Retina display with 2048*1536 resolution, quad-core A6 processor (which will have at least 30% more power )and supports 4G LTE network. Also battery will be thinner, lighter and safer for the new iPad 3. The new battery will also need to meet higher standards for quality and reliability, which means that Apple’s cost for it could shoot up by 20 to 30 percent.
The new iPad 3 Video formats supported:
H.264 video up to 1080p, 30 frames per second, High Profile level 4.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats;
MPEG-4 video up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats;
Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format.
